Once you have signed up, complete the audition form by clicking on the tab above and entering your information. Please fill it out no less than 24 hours before your audition.
WHAT TO PREPARE
Please prepare one monologue for the audition. A monologue may be as brief as 1 minute long, but no longer than 2 minutes. If you want to present 2 monologues you may do so, but be sure that the two monologues combined do not exceed 3 minutes.*
Time your audition material in advance to make sure it is appropriate in length. You may be asked to stop if the limit is exceeded. This procedure helps keep appointments on schedule for everyone.
A 4-minute time period is allotted for each audition. This allows time for you to enter, greet everyone, set up, perform, and say goodbye before you exit.
Also, perusal copies of the scripts are available through the library's electronic reserves. Logon using your WUSTL key, then search for the course under instructor name "Gina Savoie", click on 000 Drama - PAD Auditions Fall 2016, and enter password "auditions". You will then be able to download scripts to read before auditions.
*ACTING III STUDENTS: Remember that you are required to present 2 contrasting monologues. Your full audition must still fit within the 3 minute time limit. If you want to be considered for the musical revue as well, you will be allowed extra time to sing. You do not need to notify anyone of your intention to do so until you arrive at auditions.
Complete the online AUDITION FORM by clicking the tab above. (Please do this asap after signing up!)
A copy of your fall semester class schedule
Sheet music (for Musical Revue auditioners).
A resume if you have one (not required).
A headshot of yourself if you have one - if not, a simple snapshot will do! (You won't be getting it back, so make sure it's a copy.)
Your sparkling personality.
