Congratulations to the St. Louis Theater Circle Award' 2017 Nominees

The Performing Arts Department is proud to congratulate, Robert Mark Morgan, Senior Lecturer in Drama; Sean Savoie, Senior Lecturer and Coordinator, Design-Technical Theater Program; and Annamaria Pileggi, Professor of the Practice in Drama, on their nominations to the 2017 St. Louis Theater Circle Awards. 

 According to Judith Newmark of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, "First presented in 2013, the awards will be handed out March 20 at Chaminade's Skip Viragh Center for the Arts.  

Robert Mark Morgan is nominated in two categories; Design Comedy and Drama: Outstanding Set Design - "A Christmas Carol," Repertory Theatre of St. Louis and Design Musicals: Outstanding Set Design - "The Wizard of Oz,"  the Muny.

Sean Savoie is nominated in the category; Design Musicals: Outstanding Lighting Design - "The Drowsy Chaperone," Stages St. Louis.

Annamaria Pileggi is nominated in the category; Musicals: Outstanding Direction of a Musical - "Grey Gardens," Max & Louis Productions.

According to Newmark, "the awards, now presented by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, are given by the St. Louis Theater Circle, an organization of critics who write about theater here" (St. Louis).
