The world premiere of  "With" written by Carter Lewis, Playwright-In-Residence and Senior Lecturer with the Performing Arts Department, took place at the Perseverance Theatre, in Juneau, Alaska on November 22, 2019.    "With" written is directed by Alicia Dhyana House.  They play will run until December 15, 2019.

The holidays are over, a new year has begun, and Clifford and Minnie have reached the end of their days.
But how will they find the time to make a dignified exit when there are fitted sheets to be folded, screws to
be sorted, and a rat in the kitchen that keeps getting in the way? Both hilarious and heartbreaking, "With"
is the unusual love story of two souls impervious to time.

"With" was selected in 2017 for the PlayPenn Annual New Play Development Conference.  PlayPenn’s flagship program brings together theatre artists to celebrate the creation of new plays. Each year the conference playwrights are a celebrated collective of noteworthy theatre artists from both the United States and Australia. The playwrights develop their plays through in-depth workshops with directors, dramaturgs, designers, and professional actors from the local theatre community. Ample rehearsal time is interspersed with significant amounts of time for writing and for meetings - both formal and informal - between the writers and their creative teams. Each of the six plays is given two free public readings at Philadelphia’s Drake Theatre, one at the conference midpoint and the other at the end of the development period.
