Prior to joining the production staff at Washington University, Loui worked at the Muny for over two decades and was a charge scenic artist at The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis for eight years, in addition to working for Opera Theatre of St. Louis. Before earning his MFA, Loui ventured the high seas as a member of an archeological expedition on the island of Ithaca searching for the Palace of Odysseus. He was also a ship carpenter on the first Sea Shepherd anti-whaling vessel.
In his spare time, Loui enjoys studying ancient art, architecture and archeology. He is an avid trail-runner and enjoys cycling.
